Our season starts!

The one word used to describe the Knysna tour is - SUCCESSFUL!Our team won the league phase of the tournament and in the process won four of their seven matches, drawing one and losing two - a great record indeed. We scored 12 goals while conceding 7.The pro 20 part of the tour was played according to different rules with matches being decided by one half of 10min hockey, penalty flicks coming into play for a draw. Here the only way we were beaten was through the dreaded penalty flick - twice. Here follows a brief description of the matches we played!

Hermanus Tournament!

What a great way for the season to end - as our boys won the Hermanus tournament. This was a great result and when you look at the statistics and note that we conceded only one goal throughout the tournament- you will begin to understand the enormous achievement this win is.
We dominated every match we played - even the one we were unfortunate to lose - and scored seven goals in the process. Our team has come together quite beautifully and they now have mastered the passing game and when they are on song -- their performance is breathtakingly brilliant.
These kids have come a long way and are now truly a team to be reckoned with.

The BIG Derby every hockey season brings is our clash with Kenridge PS. The passion displayed at these games is phenomenal and always brings the best out of our guys. This year was no exception and in a hard fought game we ended up sharing the spoils 1-1. It was a game that we dominated and ultimately should have won, so I guess you can say that this one got away from us. There were however so many positives we can take out of the match - most notably the performance of Armando. He has turned into the pillar of strength that our defence has been built around and against Kenridge he had a blinder of a game. Other superb contributions came from Jarryd and Keagan - well done guys - you made us proud!

CRAZY!!!

If you have had a look at the match schedule for the next two tournaments, we are most definitely in for some tough times - with matches starting in the dark of night (well - almost!).
We start off proceedings in each of those tournaments at 08h00 - we must really be a major threat to all and this is their way to try and neutralize our dazzling play!
Give it your all guys and know that we will be there to support you.

Durbanville Match

Hockey can be a very cruel game at times - as we found out in our match against Durbanville. This was a game that we totally dominated and should have won by at least five or six goals, yet, we came away with nothing - losing 1-0 to a goal that was scored against the run of play AND in the dying seconds. Ouch!!
Our boys played a wonderful game - congratulations. Had it not been for the outstanding work by the opposition keeper - things would have been so different.
This was hopefully an experience that our boys could and will learn from.
